Peter Lehmann’s Winery
If you are looking for a really beautiful venue at one of Australia’s most recognised wineries than Peter Lehmann’s Winery should definitely be on your list of venues to visit. The location is stunning. The gardens are meticulously maintained and provide the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
When I was collecting our hire items early one Sunday morning I noticed one of the staff cleaning down the tables in the lawned area. This kind of attention to detail generally only gets noticed when it isn’t done. Birds living in the stately old gums in the gardens no doubt leave their “blessings” more than once a day and no one wants to see if on their wedding day!
The venue where weddings are held is named “The Old Redemption Cellar”. Click here to read more….
The Old Redemption Cellar seats up to 200 guests.
Reception venues that seat over 150 can be hard to find especially in the Barossa area so if you have a larger guest list Peter Lehmann’s is a great option. The venue comes with a commercial kitchen with lots of space, a well organised bar plus it has heating and air conditioning for those hot summer nights.
The space is really a blank canvas to do whatever your imagination and budget allows. So for a DIY/ Self-organized wedding it is perfect.
The best part about it is the generous hire time. You collect the key on a Friday and don’t have to return it until the Monday ensuring you have lots of time to prepare everything…and you will need as much time as you can get.
In the picture here, the bride chose Americana chairs and our beautiful philanopsis orchid centrepiece. As the ceiling is high a tall centrepiece compliments the venue perfectly and the the simple choice of the colours work well with the rustic wine barrels that line the cellar walls. If you need any further information about this venue from a decorators point of view please feel free to call. We have been to the venue many many times and would love to help!
